Newsletter privacy notice
How Echo Pro handles email addresses submitted through the optional blog newsletter form. This notice supplements our Terms & Conditions.
What you sign up for
With your optional, explicit consent, we send Echo Pro newsletter emails containing dating and relationship guidance, new article roundups, and relevant product updates. You do not need to create an Echo Pro account. Signing up is not required to read our articles.
What information is used
We use your email address and subscription status to send the updates you've requested. Our email service sends a confirmation link first, so nobody is subscribed without confirming their address. This does not create an Echo Pro account.
To prevent fake or repeated signups, we keep limited security records of signup attempts without storing full email or network addresses in those records. Older records are cleared periodically. We also use a security check to help prevent automated signups.
Why we process it
Our legal basis for sending optional newsletter and promotional emails is your consent. We use essential security information to prevent fraudulent signups and repeated abuse of the confirmation process. The confirmation email is a necessary part of verifying your consent; it is not a marketing campaign.
Who handles the data
We use trusted email delivery and security providers to confirm subscriptions, send emails and keep signup forms secure. Some processing may take place outside the UK, with appropriate data protection safeguards.
Your choices and retention
You can unsubscribe using the link in any email. We may keep a minimal record to make sure you aren't added back to the mailing list. You can also contact us to access, correct or delete personal data where applicable.
If you don't confirm, you won't be added to the newsletter. Our email provider manages the necessary confirmation and unsubscribe records under its retention arrangements.
